The Pensions Regulator has developed a training module which looks at insolvent defined benefit schemes. This module, which forms part of the Pensions Regulator’s Trustee Toolkit, has been designed to serve as either an introduction or refresher to the PPF assessment process depending on the users previous
experience. It sets out the basic principles of the process in a simple, easy to follow format and should equip lay trustees with a sufficient level of understanding of the process to enable them to decide whether they would benefit from the expertise of an independent trustee.
